When Calgary tee times open

City of Calgary courses release tee times four days in advance, and not all at once. Shaganappi goes at 7 a.m., Confederation and Lakeview at 8, Maple Ridge at 9, McCall Lake at 10. If you only learn the window and miss the clock, the Saturday you wanted is gone before you open the booking site.

Release times below are from the City's own page, How to book and cancel a tee time, as published there. The City has moved this clock before. Check that page the week you play.

The city clock

City courseOpens
Shaganappi 18 and Valley 97 a.m., four days ahead
Confederation and Lakeview8 a.m., four days ahead
Maple Ridge9 a.m., four days ahead
McCall Lake 18 and Par 310 a.m., four days ahead

Four days means the Thursday morning release is for Monday, not for "this weekend" if today is Thursday and you wanted Saturday. Count it on a calendar before you set an alarm. A Saturday tee time opens on Tuesday morning, at that course's hour.

The City also says you can book a same-day time up to one hour before tee-off, or show up as a walk-on when there is space. That is a different door from the four-day release. The release is how the new day gets its first sheet. Same-day is what is left, or what came back. Last-minute tee times covers that second door.

The virtual queue is not a line you can game

On busy mornings the City puts people in a virtual waiting room. If you are in the room when booking opens, your place is random. Joining earlier does not buy a better spot. Being in the queue does not mean you will get a time. The City says you can join shortly before the hour, and that arriving far earlier is not an advantage.

ParFetch does not enter that queue, does not hold a place in it, and does not book the tee time. When you tap a time in ParFetch, you go to the course's own booking page and you pay them, not us. If the City is holding everyone in a waiting room, you still have to go through the City's site yourself.

One booking a day, with a footnote the City's own page disagrees about

The main rule on the City page is one online tee time per day. The FAQ on that same page still says one tee time per day, or two at McCall Par 3. Both sentences are up there. Do not plan a second McCall Par 3 round until the booking site actually lets you finish it. If the button stops you, that is the rule that is in force, not the sentence you preferred.

Groups of 20 or more are a different process, and the City has said it is not taking 2026 reservations outside the four-day window. A foursome is not that. Book it inside the window like everyone else.

This clock is only the City courses

ParFetch's Calgary search includes 16 bookable courses, not only the municipal ones. Elbow Springs, Lynx Ridge, Sirocco, Valley Ridge, and the rest publish their own windows, or none. Do not set a 7 a.m. alarm for a club that opens its book a week out, or at noon. The Calgary course list is the set we search. The table above is only the City release.

For those other clubs, the honest move is to read the club's booking page once, write down its window, and use search for what is open right now. We will not print a release time we have not taken from the operator.

Where a watch helps, and where it does not

After you are logged in and you have run a search, tap Watch these courses, pick courses from those results, and tap Turn on alert. You can have up to three course watches on at once. ParFetch keeps checking those watches and sends one notification per course watch, the first time a matching time is there, then the watch rests until you turn it back on from your account. It is not a stream of pings. On an iPhone or iPad, alerts work only after you add ParFetch to your Home Screen from Safari's Share button and open it from that icon. Android and desktop ask for notification permission in the usual way.

A watch does not jump the 7 a.m. queue. It tells you when a time we can already see matches what you asked for. That is most useful after the sheet is open: a cancellation, a time that did not sell, a course you cannot sit and refresh. The City also has its own standby alert inside the City golf app, for City courses, and that one is theirs. ParFetch is the cross-course list, City plus the other bookable Calgary courses, and it still sends you away to book.

Trial is 7 days, then $6 a month. Cancel from the account page. We never charge the green fee.

A Tuesday that you want to be a Saturday

  1. Pick the course. If it is Shaganappi, the Saturday sheet opens Tuesday at 7 a.m. Maple Ridge's Saturday opens Tuesday at 9.
  2. Have a City golf profile that actually signs in. Accounts with no purchase in 2025 were removed, and Google or Facebook logins were removed. If the email is not recognized, create a new profile before Tuesday. Resetting a password in the queue is how you lose the time.
  3. Join the waiting room shortly before the hour. Do not expect an earlier click to matter.
  4. If you miss it, search Calgary tee times for what is still open across the courses, or set a watch on up to three of them for a cancellation. Read how last-minute times actually appear before you assume 4 p.m. Friday will look like 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Calgary's four-day clock is not the rule for the rest of Alberta. How far ahead you can book keeps those windows apart, including the City of Edmonton courses we do not search.

Search Calgary tee times 7 days free, then $6/month. You book on the course site.
