Last-minute tee times in Calgary

A tee time that appears the afternoon before you play is almost never a secret sheet. It is a cancellation, a spot the morning release did not sell, or a same-day opening the City still allows up to one hour before tee-off. ParFetch can show you that opening across Calgary courses in one search. It cannot invent a four-ball that nobody cancelled, and it will not reserve it for you.

What "last minute" means on a City course

The new day's times open four days out, on the staggered clock in when Calgary tee times open. After that, the sheet only grows when something comes off it. The City's rule for changes is specific: you can change or cancel online up to 24 hours before the tee time. Inside 24 hours, you phone the clubhouse. A no-show can cost the booker their booking privileges later. It does not politely reappear in the app five minutes after the group fails to show.

So the online last-minute window is mostly this: someone cancels early enough that the slot goes back on the booking site, or a time was still sitting there because Tuesday at noon is not Saturday at 8. The City's own page also says you can make a same-day booking up to one hour before tee-off, or walk on when there is space. Walk-on means you are at the course. A notification on the couch does not hold that spot.

If you are inside 24 hours and the website shows nothing, call the clubhouse. ParFetch does not make that call. The number is on your old confirmation email and on the City's course pages.

Search once, instead of five tabs

Open Calgary search and set the day and the time of day you can actually play. The list is whatever each course's booking system is offering at that moment. Prices shown are approximate and can leave out tax or a cart. The number that matters is on the course's page when you pay.

City courses in that list include Shaganappi, Confederation, Lakeview, Maple Ridge, and McCall Lake. The same search also includes clubs that are not run by the City. Their cancellation rules are their own. A time at Lynx Ridge or Elbow Springs does not follow the City's 24-hour phone rule just because it showed up next to Maple Ridge.

A watch, for the hours you are not refreshing

Run the search while you are logged in, tap Watch these courses, pick courses from those results, then tap Turn on alert. You get one notification per watch, the first time a matching time shows up, not a ping for every single tee time that flickers. After that the watch rests until you turn it back on from the account page. Three active watches is the cap across your account, not per search. If you need a fourth course, drop one.

On iPhone and iPad, the alert only works after you add ParFetch to the Home Screen: Safari, Share, Add to Home Screen, then open ParFetch from that icon and turn the watch on. A tab you opened once in Safari is not enough. Android and a desktop browser ask for notification permission directly.

The City golf app has its own standby list for City courses. Use it if you only play City courses and you like their tool. ParFetch is how you watch a City course and a non-City course without keeping both sites open. Neither one books the round. When the notification lands, you still have to be fast, because everyone else who can see that time can take it too. One notification is not a hold.

What does not work

A practical same-week loop

Decide the latest time you will start, and the courses you will actually drive to. Search those. If the day is empty, watch the three most likely, then stop checking. If a notification hits, open it and book on the course site immediately. If you are already in the car and nothing is online, walk on or phone. If the time is inside 24 hours, the phone is the City's rule, not a backup website.

ParFetch is 7 days free, then $6 a month, cancelled from your account whenever you want. The green fee is between you and the course.
