Search requests (area, course, date, time, party size) are processed to answer your search and held briefly in a short-lived cache. Standard server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) are kept for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
An account is required to search. We store your email address and an encrypted (hashed) password, basic subscription status, and your saved preferences (such as favourite courses and display theme). To enforce the two-device limit, we also keep a token identifying each browser you use, with a coarse device label (e.g. "Chrome on Windows") and last-used time.
Our Calgary guides let you leave your email address, without an account, so we can tell you when next season's booking opens. For that we store your email address, the page you signed up on, and the date. It is used for one thing only: one email when booking opens. It is not added to any other mailing list, not used for advertising, and not shared or sold. It is kept in ParFetch's own database, not with a mailing-list company, and the email goes out through the same email service that sends ParFetch's account emails.
We first send one email asking you to confirm. Your address only joins the list when you press the button on the page that email links to. If you don't confirm within 48 hours, we delete the address. Signing up again sends no new email for 24 hours, and none once you have confirmed: there is only ever one entry per address.
We keep a confirmed address until the booking-opens email has gone out, then delete the list. To have your address deleted before then, email support@parfetch.com from that address and we will delete it. The booking-opens email also has a link that deletes your address with one click.
Subscription billing is handled by a third-party payment processor. Your full card number is entered on their systems and is never stored on ParFetch's servers — we retain only what the processor returns to us (a customer/subscription reference and card brand/last four) to manage your subscription.
No advertising trackers, no sale of personal data. We do not link your individual searches to your account for advertising.
When you tap a tee time, you leave ParFetch for the course's own booking site, which has its own privacy policy. Searches cause ParFetch's servers (not your device) to query golf booking platforms; your IP address is not shared with them. We share data only with the service providers needed to run ParFetch (hosting, email delivery and payment processing).
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us. Cancelling your subscription stops future billing. To come off the spring list, see Spring list above.
