How far ahead you can book a tee time in Canmore and Banff

These five courses do not share a window. Calgary's four-day clock does not apply here, and neither does Edmonton's. If a page gives you one number for the whole Bow Valley, it is wrong. The rest of Alberta is kept separate on how far ahead you can book in Alberta.

The five courses ParFetch searches

Silvertip is not in this search. A missing Silvertip time is not a broken result.

Kananaskis: Mt. Kidd and Mt. Lorette

Both courses are one operator. Their FAQ says individual online bookings have historically begun in late March, that they will keep a staggered opening, and that dates will be announced in the new year. The same answer then prints a calendar:

The club's page pairs March 28, 2027 with Friday, which doesn't match the calendar, so confirm on the Kananaskis page or by phone (403-591-7070) before planning around it.

Both sentences are on the page. Do not set an alarm on the calendar until you have reread the FAQ, because the line above it still says the dates will be announced later.

The next question still says the opening date will be May 6, 2026, weather permitting. That day has passed. The page does not replace it with a 2027 opening day. Do not treat May 6 as next spring.

Once a month's online reservations are available, the FAQ says there is no restriction on how far ahead you can book a regular or twilight time. The deposit is $35 per golfer. Cancel 72 hours or more ahead and that deposit comes back. Within 24 hours the same answer lists a $175 fee per player. Read it before you book a time you might drop. They do not hold times for walk-ons. Call the shop, 403-591-7070, on the day. Parking needs a Kananaskis Conservation Pass. That is the province's rule, and the FAQ says it applies in their lot.

Canmore Golf & Curling Club

The club's own golf page says tee time booking is taken daily from 8:00 a.m., May through October. Non-members may book three days in advance. Their example is a Wednesday booking for a Saturday. A credit card holds the time. The local rate on that same page also says it can be booked three days in advance, so the local price is not an earlier window.

Anything further ahead goes through their Advanced Booking Package, by phone at 1-888-678-4785. The page says those packages were available to book as of March 2, 2026. It does not print a 2027 date for the package. Their booking screen says the same three-day limit: you are allowed to book 3 days in advance. Weekend club tournaments block advance and hotel bookings. The page says a no-show charge of $10 per person applies to cancellations.

Fairmont Banff Springs

The course homepage says 2027 tee times are now open. It does not say how many days ahead that sheet runs, and it does not name an opening day for play. Reservations are 403-762-6801. Book on their site. A rates block elsewhere on that site is still headed as 2025 green fees, so this page will not copy a day-count out of it.

Stewart Creek

The course page still says the 2026 tee sheet opens March 1. That date has passed. The page does not print a 2027 opening for the sheet, and we will not turn March 1 into a yearly rule. Cancellation is 48 hours, and that includes a change in group size. Groups of 13 or more use the email address printed on that page. Members are a different book: the membership page says members have no booking window. That line is not the public guest rule.

What to do with that

  1. Pick the course. Only the lines above are printed here, and only because they are on that club's site.
  2. Reread the club page the week you book. Kananaskis has two sentences that do not match, and two of these pages still show last season's date.
  3. Search what is open that day at Canmore and Banff. ParFetch does not book the time or charge the green fee.
  4. Opening day for the season is still not the same as how far ahead you can book once a sheet exists. Where a club has not posted next spring's first day, this page leaves it blank.

Where a watch helps

After you are logged in and you have run a search, tap Watch these courses, pick courses from those results, and tap Turn on alert. You can have up to three course watches on at once. ParFetch keeps checking those watches and sends one notification per course watch, the first time a matching time is there, then the watch rests until you turn it back on from your account. It is not a stream of pings. On an iPhone or iPad, alerts work only after you add ParFetch to your Home Screen from Safari's Share button and open it from that icon. Android and desktop ask for notification permission in the usual way.

A watch does not enter a booking queue, hold a time, or pay the green fee. It will not get you into a Kananaskis month before that club opens the sheet. When you tap a time, you finish on the course's own site. Trial is 7 days, then $6 a month. Cancel from the account page.

Tell me when booking opens

Leave your email on the Calgary guide: one note when booking opens, and nothing else.
