Opening day is not the same thing as how far ahead you can book. The City has not posted a 2027 opening date. Until that sentence shows up on a City page, any month you hear for next spring is a guess, including one from us.
2026's open is from the City newsroom, City of Calgary Golf Courses are set to open on April 21, dated 20 April 2026. The close is from the golf course and range seasonal schedule, read 30 October 2026. Recheck both before you plan a trip.
On 20 April 2026 the City said it planned to open Maple Ridge 18, McCall Lake 18 and the Par 3, and Shaganappi 18 and Valley 9 on Tuesday, April 21, weather permitting. The Shaganappi driving range was on that same day. Confederation Park's golf course, Lakeview, and the McCall Lake and Confederation driving ranges were not given a date. The release said those dates would come once the courses were ready. This page will not fill them in.
That April 21 date is last season. It is not a promise that 2027 opens on April 21, or on any other day. The seasonal schedule does not name a next opening.
The top of the seasonal schedule still says City of Calgary golf courses are open for the season. The tables under that line list every City course as closed. Trust the table for the course you want, then read the page again before you drive.
Those are closing notes for the season that just ended. They are not a reopening.
ParFetch's Calgary search is 16 bookable courses. Elbow Springs, Lynx Ridge, Sirocco, Valley Ridge, and the rest are not on the City's opening memo. Their first day is whatever their own site says, or it is not published. We will not copy April 21 onto a club that never used it. The Calgary course list is the set we search.
After the City courses are open, tee times still release four days ahead, at a different morning hour for each course. That clock, and the virtual queue, are on when Calgary tee times open. The City has moved that clock before. Opening day does not change it, and the four-day rule does not tell you when the season starts.
After you are logged in and you have run a search, tap Watch these courses, pick courses from those results, and tap Turn on alert. You can have up to three course watches on at once. ParFetch keeps checking those watches and sends one notification per course watch, the first time a matching time is there, then the watch rests until you turn it back on from your account. It is not a stream of pings. On an iPhone or iPad, alerts work only after you add ParFetch to your Home Screen from Safari's Share button and open it from that icon. Android and desktop ask for notification permission in the usual way.
A watch does not enter a booking queue, hold a time, or pay the green fee. It also does not tell you the season has opened. When you tap a time, you finish on the course's own site. Trial is 7 days, then $6 a month. Cancel from the account page.
Leave your email on the Calgary guide: one note when booking opens, and nothing else.
